1. Geochemical modeling : theory and concepts
Fluid clays interactions : development of solid solution models for complex mineral phases.
Simulation of nucleation and growth of mineral phases in contact of aqueous solutions. The code Nanokin. Collaboration with C. Noguera (INSP, UPMC-CNRS, Paris) and A. Baronnet (CINAM, CNRS, Marseille)
Interactions between brines, salts and sediments. Collaboration with C. Pierre (LOCEAN, UPMC-CNRS, Paris). Studies of the marine brines from Santa Pola, region of Alicante (Spain).
Development of the coupled model KIRMAT (Transport + reaction). Collaboration with J. Samper, University of La Coruna (Spain).
Development of the bio-geochemical option in the water-rock interaction models Bio-KINDIS and Bio-KIRMAT. Collaboration with A. Maass (University of Santiago, Chile). Contract frame with BioSigma (Santiago, Chile) for the modeling of copper bio-lixiviation in mine tailings.

2. Geochemistry of the Environment
Geological storages of nuclear wastes – contract frame with ANDRA, the French national agency for nuclear waste storages (Group of Laboratory GL-VFA “glasses-iron-clays)
Development of the OHGE “Hydrogeochemical Observatory of the Environment” (Resp. : M.C. Pierret-Neboit) in the network of field observatories : modeling of the anthropic impacts on the dynamics of alteration in the Strrengbach watershed (Vosges Massif, France). Cooperation with the University of Maine at Bangor (USA) and a French network of university/CNRS labs.
Hydrogeochemical modeling of the weathering of basaltic rocks on the Reunion volcanic Island (Indian Ocean). Cooperation with J.L. Join, Geosciences Reunion, University of Reunion.

3. Geochemistry of geological reservoirs
Diagenesis – Interactions between fluids and rocks in sedimentary basins or in granitic bodies.
Geothermal project of Soultz-sous-Forêts. In the frame of the Laboratory of Excellence LABEX “G-Eau-Thermie-Profonde” (2012-2019). EOST, University of Strasbourg.

Numerical codes developped and applied in the lab
Development of original numerical codes for simulation of water-rock interactions, in collaboration with Alain Clément (CNRS engineer, LHYGES).
All these models (except EVAP) use solid solutions for simulating complex mineral phases produced in water-rock interaction processes :
NANOKIN (NAnoparticles-KINdis) combining nucleation , growth, re-dissolution of mineral particles. A code created in collaboration with Claudine Noguera (INSP, Paris) and Alain Baronnet (CINAM, Marseille)
KIRMAT (KInetics of Reaction and MAss Transfer)
KINDIS (KINetics of DISsolution)
EVAP (A code for simulating natural solutions evaporation and brines and salts interaction).
